Farm Mom's home made mom-and pop candy store style snacks filled with blessings of heaven in Awa.
Candy store snacks sound cheap, but they originated from farmers making sweets with their own special recipes.
We wanted to make these snacks, so that even children could buy with their own pocket money.
When Farm Mom's kids were very young, she found some soybean extract byproduct both in wet and powder form. I had a recipe of how to make sesame seed cookies, so she wondered
about making cookies with soybean related material. She tried and tried, and finally she found the best hardness and sweetness. Farm's Cookie Monsters all like them too !
She wanted everyone to try them! They are sweet, but not too sweet with simple ingredients which both children and adults can buy with their pocket money.
Please taste these tasty “Farmer's Snacks”.
"Awa Meguri" are the snacks Farm Mom made with tofu extract byproducts and rice powder from Awa Region. These slowly baked hard cookies are crunchy and you can taste the ingredient's natural sweetness and flavor as you chew, which leads you to want more and more.
There are four different flavors.
- special product of Keka, Tsurugi-cho, Tokushima Powdered leaves are used and gives it a deep flavor.
- special product of Kamikatsu- cho, Tokushima.
It gives the special Bancha tea flavor.
- Made from the Mitsumata plant grown in west Awa. It gives a natural sweet flavor.
- Its flavor is very popular with children.
In winter we have ginger, black tea and cocoa flavors also.
